Dr. John W. Boswell, Ph.D. (1959-2023), got his doctorate in Public Law and American Politics from Claremont Colleges after serving for decades in the US Army’s 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment, Delta. Dr. Boswell (Bozz to his friends) retired as a Master Sergeant. He was awarded the Silver Star and Purple Heart. He fought in the battle that was depicted in the film Black Hawk Down.

We were colleagues together for years at Claremont.
